Your Effort. Custom Calibrated Resistance™.

You can move slowly and work intensely. You can hold a position and produce considerable force. With Synapse CCR, you control how that effort becomes movement—and see the force you produce.

Synapse features Custom Calibrated Resistance™ that automatically adjusts throughout the movement, working with the force you apply. The Synapse V2 Force Board Edition adds real-time feedback and recorded session data, connecting what you feel during an exercise with measurements you can see in real time and track over time.

You supply the effort

You choose how hard to push or pull. The control strap lets you govern movement pace and range while your working muscles produce force.

That relationship allows maximal muscular effort with enhanced safety during a deliberate, controlled repetition. Movement speed and effort are different variables: a slow repetition can demand intense work, and a held position can require sustained force.

Your training plan determines how you apply that effort across three muscle actions:

  • Concentric: the working muscles produce force as they shorten.

  • Isometric: the working muscles maintain force in a held position.

  • Eccentric: the working muscles produce force as they lengthen.

Think of a biceps curl. Your elbow flexors shorten as you raise your hand, maintain force during a hold, and lengthen under tension as you lower it.

Each phase offers an opportunity to train deliberately. With Synapse, you can manage the movement while applying the effort your plan calls for.

Train the eccentric phase beyond your concentric capacity

Your capacity to produce force differs between muscle actions. Supramaximal eccentric training uses an eccentric demand above your concentric capacity for the same task.

For example, the force you can control while lowering may exceed the force you can produce while lifting. Conventional fixed resistance generally requires you to complete the lifting phase with the same load, constraining how much resistance you can use throughout the repetition.

Synapse CCR supports different demands during the concentric and eccentric phases. The control strap governs movement while you apply force, allowing you to emphasize the phase you intend to train.

A demanding lowering phase qualifies as supramaximal when its demand exceeds your concentric capacity for that task. The distinction gives the term a specific meaning within your training plan.

Make your effort visible with Force Board

The Synapse V2 Force Board Edition adds a live force curve and measurements such as peak and average force. You can watch force change throughout the exercise and review recorded session data afterward.

That feedback brings another dimension to your training. You feel the effort, observe the movement, and examine the force recorded during it.

For coaches, those records can support a more specific conversation with an athlete or client. How did force change through the repetition? How consistent were the repetitions? What happened during the phase you intended to emphasize?

Interpret the measurements alongside the exercise you performed. Force readings describe the force measured by the device; understanding the movement gives those readings context.

Build a record you can return to

Record enough information to make the next session comparable: the exercise, setup, range of motion, movement pace, sets, and repetitions. Add a brief note about how the session felt.

Consistent conditions make comparisons more useful. When your setup or execution changes, include that change in your record.

Over time, you have a clearer account of the work you performed—and a practical reference for planning the work ahead.

Connect the work to your goal

Lifting a grandchild. Preparing for a mountain adventure. Competing at your best.

Your reason for training gives the measurements meaning. Force data helps you track performance during an exercise. Returning to the activity or sporting demand you care about helps you assess how your preparation is carrying over.

Synapse CCR brings Custom Calibrated Resistance™ to the movement. Force Board makes your effort visible and gives you a record to review.

Train with intent. See your effort. Build toward what matters to you.
